Sailor Moon Eternal Edition: 10 Volumes Plus 2 Sailor V Books

Sailor Moon has 10 books in Kodansha's Eternal Edition, plus two Codename: Sailor V books numbered 11 and 12. See each book's ISBN and what it covers.

Volume count: Kodansha's Sailor Moon Eternal Edition 10 is billed as the final volume; the two Codename: Sailor V books follow it as Eternal Edition 11 and 12. Penguin Random House, Sailor Moon Eternal Edition 10, checked 2026-10-29.

Mapped coverage: All twelve books in Kodansha's Sailor Moon Eternal Edition: Sailor Moon 1–10 and the two Codename: Sailor V books, which Kodansha also numbers Eternal Edition 11 and 12. The Penguin Random House records give no conversion to Kodansha's 2011 edition or to the Naoko Takeuchi Collection, so each book is its own unit and nothing is carried across lines. Separately published short-story books and the Naoko Takeuchi Collection are outside this map.

What each edition covers

Numbering: Sailor Moon Eternal Edition book numbers as Kodansha Comics numbers them (1–10), with the two Codename: Sailor V books as V1 and V2. It describes mapped story units only; separately documented extras remain separate. V1 and V2 are the two Codename: Sailor V books, a separate prequel series that Kodansha also numbers Eternal Edition 11 and 12. They are not Sailor Moon story volumes.

1–10, V1, V2 · 12 mapped story units across 12 documented editions. This is the range in this map, not a claim that the series is complete.

Select the numbered units and editions you already own, then choose candidate editions to compare. The result uses only this series' numbering system.

Own none yet? Leave the owned choices empty. Set a target to see gaps; a shelf that already covers it needs no story purchase. Save your shelf on this device to resume here, or create a share link to carry the selection to another browser.

Eternal Edition numbers belong to the Eternal Edition. The line runs twelve books on Kodansha’s numbering, but only the first ten are Sailor Moon. Books 11 and 12 are Codename: Sailor V, a separate prequel series that the publisher places at the end of the same numbered line (series listing). This map calls them V1 and V2 so that a shelf of “Eternal Edition 1–12” is not read as twelve Sailor Moon volumes.

Do not carry numbers into other lines

The Naoko Takeuchi Collection also runs ten Sailor Moon books and two Sailor V books, but neither line’s Penguin Random House records say that book 5 in one line begins and ends where book 5 in the other does. This page keeps the lines separate, so owning Eternal Edition 1–5 does not mark any Collection book as owned. The Sailor Moon edition counts guide explains why published totals for the lines differ.

Shelf examples

If you own Eternal Edition 1–6, the remaining Sailor Moon books are 7–10. If you own 1–4 and 6–10, the gap is book 5, not “everything after 6”. The two Sailor V books are a separate prequel series: owning all of 1–10 leaves V1 and V2 as a separate decision, and the calculator will not treat them as missing Sailor Moon story.
