How Many Fairy Tail Volumes? 63, and What the Box Sets Hold

Fairy Tail has 63 volumes in Kodansha's English edition. See which volumes its three omnibuses, Master's Edition books and Box Sets 1, 3 and 6 hold.

Volume count: Kodansha's volume 63 is billed as the final volume. Penguin Random House, Fairy Tail 63, checked 2026-10-29.

Mapped coverage: The three English Fairy Tail omnibuses (volumes 1–9), Master's Edition 1, 3 and 5 (volumes 1–5, 11–15 and 21–25) and Manga Box Sets 1, 3 and 6 (volumes 1–11, 23–33 and 54–63), as the Penguin Random House records read on October 29, 2026. Master's Edition 2 and 4 and Manga Box Sets 2, 4 and 5 are not mapped: the distributor's Master's Edition 2 record describes the line as the “first five volumes” and gives no volume range for that book, and Penguin Random House had no page for the other four when checked. Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest and the spin-offs are outside this map.

Mapped coverage

1–63 · 63 mapped story units across 9 documented editions. This is the range in this map, not a claim that the series is complete.

This page maps nine Fairy Tail books, not every Fairy Tail set. Penguin Random House, Kodansha Comics’ distributor, gave volume ranges for Omnibus 1–3, Master’s Edition 1, 3 and 5, and Manga Box Sets 1, 3 and 6 when we checked on October 29, 2026. Its Master’s Edition 2 record gave no range, and it had no page for Master’s Edition 4 or Manga Box Sets 2, 4 and 5.

Why five books are left out

The Master’s Edition 2 record calls the line “an oversized collection of the first five volumes of the Fairy Tail manga series” and gives no range for this book. That sentence would also fit Master’s Edition 1, whose own record says it contains volumes 1–5, so we assign Master’s Edition 2 no volumes. For Master’s Edition 4 and Manga Box Sets 2, 4 and 5 we did not guess a range from the numbers on either side, because a set number does not prove which volumes sit inside it. If you own one of those, check its contents page and use the ISBN edition check.

What the mapped sets repeat

The omnibuses and Box Set 1 overlap on volumes 1–9. If you own all three omnibuses, Box Set 1 adds only volumes 10 and 11. Master’s Edition 1 holds volumes 1–5, so Omnibus 1 and volumes 4 and 5 of Omnibus 2 repeat it; Box Set 1 repeats it and adds volumes 6–11.

If you own Box Sets 1 and 3 (volumes 1–11 and 23–33), volumes 12–22 are missing. Master’s Edition 3 would add 12–15 and Master’s Edition 5 would add 21–22, but no mapped book covers volumes 16–20 or 34–53. The calculator lists those volumes as missing for any shelf instead of inventing a box for them. Box Set 6 ends at volume 63, the final volume.

Sequel and spin-offs

Kodansha’s omnibus description calls Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest a sequel series (Omnibus 1 record). It has its own volume numbers and is not mapped here.
