Calculate overlap and new coverage

Select the numbered units and editions you already own, then choose candidate editions to compare. The result uses only this series' numbering system.

VIZ’s Dragon Ball Complete Box Set contains the original English-numbered volumes 1–16, plus a poster and collector booklet. Dragon Ball Z uses a separate 1–26 range on this site. A Z volume 1 is not an ownership match for Dragon Ball volume 1.

The series label belongs with the number

If you own Dragon Ball 1–10, the box adds 11–16 and repeats ten volumes. If the ten books instead say Dragon Ball Z, entering them here would create a false result. Check the full series title before marking the shelf.

The selector’s numbers refer to the VIZ English singles associated with this set. It is not a conversion table for every Japanese, VIZBIG, omnibus or regional numbering system. Unsupported editions must be checked against their own contents rather than entered by spine number.

Is the target already covered?

When you own all sixteen units, no new story coverage is needed within this map. A different format or the box extras could still be a collecting preference, but the calculator does not present them as missing volumes.

Use the Dragon Ball Z map for its separate set and the numbering comparison for a worked example. Both pages link to the exact publisher records and keep their saved selections separate.
