How Many Cardcaptor Sakura Collector's Edition Volumes? 9

Count Collector’s Edition books, not original volumes. The Penguin Random House records number the hardcovers 1 to 9 and do not say which original volumes each book reprints, so this map treats each hardcover as its own unit and makes no conversion to other editions. A shelf of Collector’s Edition 1–5 needs books 6–9 to finish the line; it says nothing about how many original paperbacks that equals.

The sequel is a separate count

Clear Card continues the story in its own volumes. Penguin Random House lists Clear Card volumes up to 16, with volume 16 published March 11, 2025 (Clear Card 16). Its numbers are not Collector’s Edition numbers, so Clear Card volume 3 is never a gap in a Collector’s Edition shelf.

Shelf examples

If you own books 1–4 and 6–9, the gap is book 5. If you own all nine, the Collector’s Edition target is complete and the calculator offers no further purchase for it. The nine books are hardcovers on the distributor’s records; a different format of the story is a different edition, not a missing Collector’s Edition book.
