Attack on Titan Omnibus and Box Set Contents: Volumes 1–34

Attack on Titan’s twelve English omnibuses cover volumes 1–34 without a gap or overlap, and four of the seven box sets state their volume numbers. The omnibus number is not a volume number: Omnibus 5 holds volumes 13–15, and the first ten omnibuses hold three volumes each.

The last two omnibuses hold two volumes

Omnibus 11 (volumes 31–32) and Omnibus 12 (33–34) are two-volume books even though the line is sold as three-in-one. A collector counting “twelve omnibuses, so thirty-six volumes” would overshoot the thirty-four-volume run. The Omnibus 11–12 comparison shows how those two books relate to the larger Colossal Edition, which this map does not cover.

Box sets follow the anime, not the volume count

The distributor’s descriptions give volume numbers for Season 1 Part 2 (5–8), Season 2 (9–12), Season 3 Part 1 (13–17, five books) and The Final Season Part 2 (29–34, the last six volumes). Those four are mapped. Season 1 Part 1 is described as a four-volume set with no numbers, and the records for Season 3 Part 2 and The Final Season Part 1 list none either, so they stay out. We do not guess ranges from the anime season names.

Each mapped box also carries something that is not a numbered volume: sticker sets, a reversible poster, or a book of short stories. The FLY collector’s box set, which pairs an art book with a short booklet labelled “Volume 35”, is outside the map for the same reason: it is not one of the numbered volumes 1–34.

A worked overlap

Say you own Omnibus 2 (volumes 4–6) and are looking at the Season 1 Part 2 box (5–8). Volumes 5 and 6 repeat; 7 and 8 are new. If you own Omnibus 1 and 2 instead (volumes 1–6), the same box still adds only 7 and 8. Select the editions you own in the calculator below and it counts each volume once. For the arithmetic behind that, see the box-set duplicate check.

Match the ISBN-13 in the table against any listing before you buy; the ISBN edition check explains why a title match is not enough.
