Fruits Basket Collector’s Edition has 12 numbered volumes. Yen Press explicitly announced the series as complete in 12 deluxe omnibus editions. A catalog displaying 13 entries does not mean there is a numbered volume 13. Publisher completion announcement

The current Yen Press series catalog lists volumes 1 through 12 and a separate Complete Box Set. Count the numbered books separately from the package that collects the series.

These identifiers come from Yen Press’s volume 1 and volume 12 records. A listing can show both formats on the same page, so match the format field as well as the title.

Do not treat “volume 12” in another edition as the same story unit. The number belongs to the named edition. Likewise, an omnibus label does not justify multiplying every volume number by two to infer exact contents. The final Collector’s Edition volume has documented bonus material, which is another reason not to infer story membership from thickness or a simple ratio.

A collection example

If your shelf contains Collector’s Edition volumes 1-8 and 10-12, you have 11 of the 12 numbered volumes; the missing number is 9. A box-set listing appearing alongside those books does not add another missing numbered volume to that calculation.

The Complete Box Set record has its own ISBN, 9798855429985, and describes new covers and lenticular cards. Those package features should be assessed separately from whether you already own the numbered story sequence.
