Fire Force Box Sets Stop at Volume 11: Omnibuses for 12–34

Fire Force has two English box sets covering volumes 1–11 and 34 volumes in all. See how the 3-in-1 omnibuses line up with the boxes and the cleanest way to continue.

In this guide

The two Fire Force manga box sets cover volumes 1–11 (Box Set 1 holds 1–6 and Box Set 2 holds 7–11). Penguin Random House lists 34 Fire Force volumes in all, with volume 34 marked “Final volume!”, so 23 volumes (12–34) are not in any box set. The other English format for those volumes is a series of twelve Kodansha omnibuses, most of them 3-in-1.

Penguin Random House’s box set series page lists only these two, and each product page states its range (“Includes Vol. 1-6” and “Includes Vol. 7-11”). Both are in our Fire Force edition map, which is bounded to volumes 1–11.

The twelve omnibuses

Penguin Random House’s omnibus series page gives each omnibus its volumes:

Box Set 1 and Omnibuses 1 and 2 cover exactly the same six volumes. Box Set 2 does not line up: it ends at volume 11, while Omnibus 4 runs 10–12.

If you own both boxes, how do you continue?

You own volumes 1–11, so the next unread volume is 12. Three starting points:

Count the two routes to the end of the series. Omnibuses 4 through 12 are nine books (12 − 4 + 1 = 9) covering volumes 10–34, which repeats 10 and 11. Volume 12 as a single plus Omnibuses 5 through 12 is 1 + 8 = 9 books covering 12–34, with no repeats. Both routes are nine books; only the second avoids owning two volumes twice. The 23 volumes after the boxes are 34 − 11 = 23.

Other shelves

  • You own Box Set 1 only (1–6). Box Set 2 adds 7–11 with no repeats. Omnibus 3 (7–9) would add 7–9 and leave 10–11 for Omnibus 4.
  • You own Omnibuses 1–3 (volumes 1–9) and are weighing Box Set 2. The box repeats 7–9 and adds 10–11. Omnibus 4 adds 10–12 with no repeats.
  • You own Omnibuses 1–4 (volumes 1–12). Box Set 2 adds nothing new. The next new volume is 13, which is Omnibus 5.
  • You own singles 1–11. Neither box adds a numbered volume. Continue at volume 12 or Omnibus 4 as above.

Check the listing before you buy

  1. Match the title to the table: “Manga Box Set 2 (Vol. 7-11)” and “Omnibus 4 (Vol. 10-12)” are different products.
  2. Check the ISBN-13 for a box. The publisher names a poster only for Box Set 2; whether a used copy still has it is a question for the seller.
  3. A “complete set” bundle from a third-party seller is not a publisher edition. Count the volumes it names against 1–34.
