Bleach Box Sets in Order: Volumes 1–74
Bleach Box Sets 1, 2 and 3 cover volumes 1–21, 22–48 and 49–74. Use the boundaries to find the set that fills your shelf gap.
The three English Bleach manga box sets run in order without a numbered-volume gap: Box Set 1 contains volumes 1–21, Box Set 2 contains 22–48, and Box Set 3 contains 49–74. Together they cover all 74 numbered volumes. The box number is not the first volume inside it, so “Box Set 2” should never be entered as Bleach volume 2.

VIZ’s product pages establish the three ranges: Box Set 1 lists volumes 1–21, Box Set 2 lists 22–48, and Box Set 3 lists 49–74. The counts in the table are inclusive: 21 − 1 + 1 = 21, 48 − 22 + 1 = 27, and 74 − 49 + 1 = 26.
Which Bleach box set do you need next?
If you own Box Set 1 and want to continue in order, the next numbered book is volume 22, at the start of Box Set 2. If you own Sets 1 and 2, volume 49 starts Box Set 3. Owning Sets 1 and 3 leaves a real middle gap of 27 volumes—22 through 48—even though volume 74 is on your shelf.
A mixed shelf needs one more subtraction. Suppose you own Box Set 1 plus singles 22–30. Box Set 2 contains 27 volumes, but nine of them overlap those singles. It would therefore add 18 new numbered volumes, 31–48. The Bleach edition map can reproduce that result by combining a whole set with individual-volume ownership.
Count the extras without turning them into volume 75
Each VIZ listing names bonus material as well as numbered books. Those booklets, the mini-comic and the posters may matter when you inspect a used set, but they do not change the 1–74 story-volume range. “Complete” on the Box Set 3 page refers to the numbered Bleach manga series, not every Bleach companion publication or every item that might be missing from a secondhand package.
