Blade of the Immortal Deluxe: Which Book Holds Each Volume

Dark Horse's ten Blade of the Immortal Deluxe hardcovers cover volumes 1–31, but Deluxe 6 holds four volumes. Use the lookup table to avoid a missing or repeated volume.

In this guide

Dark Horse’s ten Blade of the Immortal Deluxe hardcovers cover regular volumes 1–31. Nine of them collect three volumes, but Deluxe 6 collects four (16–19), so every Deluxe number from 7 up is one volume later than a “three per book” guess would put it. Deluxe 7 is volumes 20–22, not 19–21.

A link reading "Check … on Amazon" goes to a listing whose title matches the book and which showed a new copy in stock when we checked on October 29, 2026. A link reading "Search Amazon for …" opens a search for the ISBN-13, because no such listing appeared in our check.

Deluxe book to volume lookup

Each row comes from the Dark Horse product page for that book, checked October 29, 2026. Dark Horse describes each as a faux-leather hardcover with a bookmark ribbon that collects the stated volumes in the original serialized format, and lists the format as a 7 x 10 inch hardcover.

The counts add up: nine books of three plus one of four is 9 × 3 + 4 = 31 volumes. The numbering is Dark Horse’s English volume numbering, as in our Blade of the Immortal edition map. We do not map other Blade of the Immortal formats or companion books.

Where a three-per-book guess goes wrong

If you assume three per bookDark Horse’s actual rangeResult
Deluxe 6 = 16–1816–19You would think volume 19 needs a separate purchase, but Deluxe 6 already holds it
Deluxe 7 = 19–2120–22You would expect a repeat of volume 19 and a stop at 21; the real book starts at 20 and also holds 22
Deluxe 10 = 28–3029–31You would think volume 31 falls outside the set

Worked examples

  • You own regular volumes 1–15. Deluxe 1–5 would repeat all fifteen. Deluxe 6 adds 16–19, four new volumes, with no repeats.
  • You own regular volumes 1–18. Deluxe 6 repeats 16–18 and adds only volume 19. Deluxe 7 starts at 20, so skipping Deluxe 6 would leave volume 19 missing.
  • You own volumes 1–19. Deluxe 6 adds nothing. The next new volume is 20, in Deluxe 7.
  • You own Deluxe 1–5 and want to continue. Deluxe 6 is next and brings volumes 16–19 together. Deluxe 7 on its own would leave a four-volume hole.
  • You own Deluxe 1–6 and 8–10. The only gap is Deluxe 7 (volumes 20–22).

Checklist for a listing

  1. Read the Deluxe number and the volume range together. “Deluxe Volume 6” is not regular volume 6.
  2. Match the ISBN-13 to the table. Dark Horse’s Deluxe 7 page calls it the “Deluxe Edition Volume 7”, while most of the others say “Deluxe Volume”; both are the same line.
  3. For a used set, count the hardcovers: ten books for 1–31, with Deluxe 6 the thickest at 832 pages.

For another Dark Horse deluxe whose book boundaries differ from the regular volumes, see Hellsing Deluxe: why volume 8 appears twice, and for a numbering check that applies to any Deluxe line, Berserk Deluxe 1–14 and the Deluxe 14 exception.
