Berserk Deluxe 14: Why It Contains Two Story Volumes

Berserk Deluxe Volume 14 contains regular volumes 40 and 41 plus the Official Guidebook. It does not contain regular volume 42.

Berserk Deluxe Volume 14 contains regular volumes 40 and 41 plus the Official Guidebook. It does not contain regular volume 42. That is the important exception when using the earlier deluxe books to predict what a later one includes.

Count story coverage separately from the third book

Dark Horse’s multi-volume listing names the contents of each deluxe. Deluxe 13 collects regular volumes 37–39. Deluxe 14 names 40, 41 and the Official Guidebook. Our Berserk contents map therefore stores two numbered story units for Deluxe 14 and records the guidebook as an extra.

These are set calculations from the publisher’s contents, not recommendations based on price. The final row matters: no overlap does not necessarily mean a continuous collection. Check the missing-volume result as well as the new-volume count.

Does the guidebook make the purchase worthwhile?

That is a separate collecting decision. The coverage tool cannot measure the value you place on the guidebook, larger format or a matching set. If you already own 40 and 41, it should say that you gain no new numbered story coverage, while still showing the guidebook in the edition record. Calling the whole book a duplicate would conceal that distinction.

Avoid extending the pattern

Do not multiply an arbitrary deluxe number by three to calculate its final volume. A mapping needs the specific publisher entry, especially at a series boundary or special release. This site’s audited Berserk range ends at regular volume 41; a completed target here is not a claim that you own every release. Read how we separate extras from story volumes for the same issue in other sets.
