Edition Corrections and Updates

Edition data is checked against publisher and authorized-distributor sources. The source linked from an edition record is the reference for its documented contents, ISBN, language and format.

When a source changes or a mismatch is identified, we recheck the specific edition rather than extend a numbering pattern to other editions. Substantive corrections record the edition, source, previous value and corrected value in the repository history and public change log.

A contents correction should also update its checked date and affected explanation. Our methodology explains the evidence and limits behind these checks.

Check the edition, language, format and ISBN on a retailer’s listing before ordering. Orders, returns and seller disputes are handled by the retailer.
